Week 2: April 29-May 3:

May 3 DAy 10: Testimony of Paramedic Katie McLaughlin continues under cross. A view of 34 Fairview

May 2 Day 9: Half Day is expected on Thursday as court continues at 9am. Journalists line up at 4am to get inside due to the smaller courtroom. So our staff is working as hard as possible to make these hearings available to you, in their entirety, on demand as soon as they can. The trail can also seen on the local Canton HD and community stations. (PRESS LINK BUTTON ABOVE FOR LATEST TRIAL FOOTAGE.)

No Court May 1st:

April 29 DAY 8: Testimony continues today at 9AM. No streaming from CCTv due to technical limitation. You will see the full pool camera video as soon as it is available. Check this page, bottom for links.

April 29 DAY 7: Opening statements are expected today. Because the defense wanted all jurors to see the faces of witnesses (the big courtroom had juror seats where jurors could only see the back of heads) court has been moved to a tiny room where only 10 journalists are allowed. CCTv has been there since early this morning, waiting in line, and will get a seat. (The big media have folks standing in line for them, yet Canton Community Tv’s crew is expected to be amongst the 10.) CCTv will not be able to go LIVE today but will be able to give you the pool tape as soon as possible. CCTv does receive the pool feed and brings back the recorded tape. There are also limited ethernet ports, CCTV has no satellite or huge cell box, so it’s nearly impossible to go LIVE. Watch on one of the major stations and then rewatch on CCTv, on Demand, or on ComCast HD 1073/ Verizon 2143 and commercial free and talking head free. Just the pure court video from the day.

Week 2: April 22-26:

  • April 25 DAY 6: There is a jury. Today though many motions are expected to be worked on. No stream today. Unedited and commercial free video will be available as soon as possible on demand. However Canton Residents tune to ComCast 8/HD 1073 and Verizon Customers to 43/HD 2143.

Week 1 (Days 1, 2 and 3): April 16-20: Jurors were being picked (April 16) Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We don’t know when they will be seated for opening arguments. The selection process is going faster than expected but they have to seat 12 with 4-6 alternates. No cameras or audio is allowed during this process. Update: No court Friday, April 19. They have 12 jurors. They will continue to try and seat alternates on Monday, April 22.
